San Gemini Preservation Studies- Italy

- Session II: July 13 – August 7, 2020 (programs include paper restoration, painting techniques and archaeological survey)
San Gemini Preservation Studies is a summer field school, now in its 21st year, that organizes lectures, research, fieldwork, workshops and field trips in the disciplines of historic preservation, restoration and conservation. It is located in Central Italy in the city of San Gemini. The courses focus on the study of: historic buildings preservation, traditional forms of painting, conservation of archaeological ceramics, the restoration of books and paper in archival material. The various field projects include: documentation and restoration of medieval public buildings in San Gemini, the archaeological excavation in the ancient Roman city of Carsulae, as well as conservation work on the local historic archives.
The SGPS program is a collaboration between scholars from various universities and local preservation groups, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to historic preservation. All academic activities are held in English.
Sciences Po Summer School- France

The Summer School’s University Programme is a unique opportunity for university students and graduates from all over the world to discover Sciences Po over the course of a summer on our Paris campus. In 2019, the programme hosted almost 450 students, representing 60 different nationalities and a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds. The University Programme offers two academic tracks in social sciences and French language. Both tracks are available during each session of the Summer School. In addition to their core social sciences or French courses, students may choose to expand their curriculum by adding an elective course for an additional cost.
